The Academic Inclusive Association successfully conducted a three-day training in Zlatibor within the project “Youth and journalists for better media access to the inclusion of persons with disabilities”.
Eight female journalism students participated in the training, which provided them with practical experience through examples of adequate and incorrect journalistic approaches focused on reporting on persons with disabilities. The participants also gained insight into the concept of social inclusion and preferred terminology. The held training is an introductory educational activity in the project, and the participants, in cooperation with the Association of Journalists of Serbia, will be able to publish content about people with disabilities in the media.
As part of the same project, it is important to point out that two training sessions for young people with disabilities have been held so far for appearing in the media.

Young people with disabilities had the opportunity to master the basic skills needed for public speaking, learn more about different techniques of conveying messages and how to represent themselves, as well as the group they represent during a media performance.
Young people with disabilities are expecting two more trainings where they will try out in front of the cameras and hopefully learn a lot of useful information.
